Dr. Christine Tinnesz is an Associate Teaching Professor for Written Communication at the University at Buffalo. Dr. Tinnesz specializes in student centered learning with a focus on critical thinking skills. She has had the privilege of teaching numerous online courses to a diverse group of students, helping them achieve academic and professional success. Dr. Tinnesz has successfully developed course materials, including lectures, assignments, and assessments, tailored to an online learning environment. Her teaching approach uses real-world examples and provides students hands-on experiences, while fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Dr. Tinnesz wants students to feel empowered to ask questions and collaborate with one another in an online setting. She utilizes discussion boards, videos, and multimedia resources to promote student interaction, higher level thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Through her teaching experience, Dr. Tinnesz aims to meet the needs of remote learners by providing personalized feedback and guidance to ensure that each student is equipped to succeed.
