SUNY Online Teaching Ambassador 2026: FIT – Hans Galutera

Hans Galutera is an adjunct instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) and teaches undergraduate and graduate design studios at FIT and other universities. A Doctor of Design and Founder and CEO of HG DesignWorks, he brings professional practice, research, and creative leadership into the online classroom to support meaningful, student-centered learning.

Hans is committed to creating inclusive, engaging, and accessible online learning environments that meet the needs of diverse learners. His courses are intentionally designed to promote clarity, consistency, and connection, helping students feel supported, motivated, and confident in their academic journey. Through regular communication, interactive activities, and timely feedback, he fosters strong instructor presence and a sense of community in the virtual classroom.

He recently completed the Lumen Circles Fellowship in Evidence-Based Teaching Using Generative AI, further strengthening his ability to thoughtfully and responsibly integrate innovative tools that enhance learning while maintaining academic integrity.
