“I am a very enthusiastic advocate for online teaching.  I find the modality to be truly a benefit towards nontraditional learning and students.  Some of my greatest challenges using online education are imparting real world examples to illustrate just how the ‘book’ relates to the actual law enforcement world.  My use of videos (self-created) to illustrate these points is something the students truly enjoy and get a lot out of.  The discussion board topics take all of us (I interact with them as well) on interesting journeys depending on the issues and cases of the day.  Online learning is something I would highly recommend to those that couldn’t do a traditional commitment to an in person classroom.”
