Xin Ye is an associate professor of Computer Studies in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math at Rockland Community College.

I am deeply honored to be recognized as a 2025 SUNY Online Teaching Ambassador. With over a decade of experience in online education, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of virtual learning. Online teaching offers unparalleled flexibility, benefiting both educators and students by allowing learning to take place anytime and anywhere. This is especially crucial for students with demanding schedules or those living far from campus, enabling them to pursue their education without geographical or time constraints. As technology continues to evolve, fully online degree programs will play an even greater role in shaping the future of higher education, making learning more accessible, inclusive, and adaptable to diverse needs. I am excited to be part of this journey and to contribute to the advancement of online education.
