Chana Epstein is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at SUNY Sullivan with over 15 years of experience in higher education. With a strong background in mathematics, particularly in applied mathematics, she has developed a reputation for her engaging teaching style and dedication to student success. Chana is known for her ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and for her passion for fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in her students.
Chana has worked tirelessly to improve her online math classes, navigating the challenges of delivering a quality math education in the digital space. She is particularly focused on creating more engaging and interactive online learning experiences for her students. Her dedication to this cause was showcased when she presented at the AMATYC (American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges) conference, where she shared insights on how to create more engaging online math courses, including how to use the Discussion forum effectively in a mathematics class.
Chana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Touro College and a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She currently serves on the Online Advisory Committee at SUNY Sullivan.
