Douglas Regan

Douglas J. Regan Ed.D has been an educator for some 49 years now, having started as a senior high English teacher and finished as an Intermediate Principal.  His education includes a Bachelor and Master’s degree in secondary English with minors in Public Speaking and Educational Administration. Regan earned a doctorate in curriculum & instruction and that has always been his passion.

I have been teaching at Niagara County Community College since 2003 in the Childhood Education department. What a joy; I have been able to teach what I have done for my entire career while helping to prepare the next generation of teachers! The transition to online instruction was not an easy one for me and I must admit that originally I was probably a resistor. However, I have come full circle now and clearly see the many benefits of providing quality and engaging online instruction as a viable option for my students. I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing support individuals at NCCC and they have provided me with much reinforcement and assistance for which I am very grateful. I am humbled to be nominated for this award!
