In his own words, “Virtual classroom education creates new real-world opportunities.  We design our online BS degree completion program in accounting to adapt students’ schedule and needs, especially for those with family and professional responsibilities, making it more convenient to complete their degree and gain quality education in SUNY Plattsburgh.  The online accounting classes prove to be more beneficial and valuable to students. Initially, students in an online accounting class became more diversified in experience and cultures but unified in their goal to pursue their degree in accounting. This unique combination makes the class discussion richer and ‘pushes’ students to advance their career aspiration in becoming certified public accountants.  Moreover, students are more engaged in online deliberations throughout their academic semesters and not limited to classroom time.”

“SUNY is always striving to improve online courses for both faculty and students, making it an easy platform for learning and teaching. In particular, the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) unit at SUNY Plattsburgh is always looking for new ways to connect students with faculty members, the content of the courses, and other students. The initial training we receive, and ongoing support throughout the semester is a great value. It provides faculty with the resources necessary to give students a flexible learning environment, while still receiving the same high quality of education as they would get by coming to campus.”
