This passion for learning was ignited in her by her mother, who made a lateral career change when Lauren was in middle school. She impressed upon her young daughter that it is never too late make a change and seize an opportunity. Lauren’s path in her adult life has seen her work as a medical technologist, an environmental chemist, a program manager for Waste Management and finally to teaching at GCC.-
Online learning excites me. I think about my mother, going back to college as a non-traditional student, and how online learning would have positively impacted her life. I’m dedicated to continuous improvement in reaching students and facilitating an environment that is conducive to learning, one that is inclusive and accessible to all.
