Professor Wolfson started his professional teaching career working in K-12 public schools before transferring over to higher education in 2011. He completed his B.S. in Physical Education in 2008, his M.S. in Health Education in 2010, and tirelessly works towards the completion his Ed.D. in 2020, all from Hofstra University.

As an educator, my pedagogical stance has always been focused on meeting the needs of each and every student by promoting initiatives that ensure the greatest possibility for their success. This includes creating opportunities for and reaching students whom may be unable to take traditional classes. In order to meet the needs of all students, I’ve recognized that I must expand my pedagogical skill set and as I result, I have enthusiastically worked towards completing the required certification process to teach courses online at my institution. Since then, I have created online courses, worked with faculty to help increase our departments online course offerings, worked with administration to promote and improve online education training for faculty, and have completed advanced online education certifications.

As I continue to work with students in online modalities, my appreciation for the opportunities online learning provides our students grows. Having created and taught some of the first online Weight Training courses in the area, I have been able to see firsthand how important it is to provide students an alternative option to traditional learning. As a result, I plan to continue to work as an ambassador for online learning, advocating and promoting all of the wonderful benefits distance education provides our students.
