Get OSCQR Certified!
Would an OSCQR certification help you with your online course quality initiatives? Are you an online instructional designer (ID)? Are you new at it, or do you have years of experience? Are you an online instructor? Are you new at it, or do you have years of experience teaching online?
What OSCQR webinars or certifications would help you?
We’d like to recognize those in our SUNY online teaching community with years of experiences using OSCQR as online IDs, or experienced online faculty with official SUNY OSCQR certifications. And, offer the opportunity for OSCQR training and certification to anyone who may be new to SUNY, new to teaching online instruction, or new to online instructional design.
Are you interested in improving your own online course? Becoming an online ID? Becoming an online course peer reviewer? Becoming a trainer to train others to use OSCQR? Developing a larger-scale online course quality initiative at your campus?
Each webinar is available independently of the certification. Certification requires 2 parts, participation in the webinar, completion of the OSCQR review and refresh process for which evidence is required.
- The OSCQR Self-Assessment webinar and certification is for anyone that teaches online and has their own online course that they can review and improve.
- The OSCQR Reviewer webinar and certification is for IDs and peer online course reviewers. It requires that one review an online course that is not their own, provide feedback to the instructor whose course it is, and works with them to make the course improvements recommended.
- The OSCQR Intro webinar (either self-assessment or reviewer) and certification is for IDs and peer online course reviewers. It requires that one review 5 online courses that are not their own, provide feedback to the 5 instructors whose courses they are, and works with them to make the course improvements recommended.
- The OSCQR RSI webinar for anyone, online faculty, or online ID to develop awareness of this US DoE regulation.
- The OSCQR Implementation webinar is recommended for individuals at any institution with a larger-scale initiative planned regarding online course quality that wants to use OSCQR to scale that initiative across an online program, department, or campus, and wants individuals planning the initiative to assist in developing and implementing that plan.

The OSCQR webinars and certifications are free for any SUNY online ID/staff, or online instructor.
In addition to the scheduled OSCQR webinars, all OSCQR-related webinars are available to any SUNY Campus free of charge and on demand (based on staff availability and at mutually convenient times) for campus-based cohorts of individuals to incorporate into your existing online faculty development processes, activities, and approaches.
Let us know what you are interested in. Consultations are available to recommend and assist you to design the appropriate OSCQR online course quality path for you, your faculty, or your campus.
