Dr. Rollo Fisher has taught at Monroe Community College since 2009. Dr. Fisher received his PHD in Choral Music Education from Florida State University, where he wrote his dissertation on the History of the Indiana University Singing Hoosiers. He teaches a variety of music courses, including Madrigal Singers, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, College Chorus, Tributones contemporary a cappella, several Broadway musicals, Voice Class, Aural Skills, Applied Piano, History of Rock and Roll, and Music in World Cultures. He has taught World cultures in person, hybrid, remote, and fully online since 2010. He has personally performed at Carnegie Hall several times, and annually brings students to perform there with the Masterworks series for Manhattan Concert Productions. Dr. Fisher is a Cornell Fellow, and is currently working on a project to highlight cultures and music from as many countries as possible, starting with ones in Africa.
