Open SUNY Online Teaching Ambassador 2017 – Corning: Jennifer O’Hara

Jennifer O’Hara, J.D. has been teaching at Corning Community College for 14 years, 10 of which have included on-line instruction.  Professor O’Hara’s on-line offerings have included Penal Law, American Federal Government, Business Law 1 and Business Law 2.  She is always seeking to improve and expand her internet classes, including adding international context and connections.  Professor O’Hara’s passion for on-line education is best summed up in the following statement:

“Having participated both as a student and instructor in an on-line class, I am aware of the doors opened by this very special type of learning.  I have students who could never earn their degree without it– and have obtained training myself made possible only by the digital experience.  I strive to make the internet classroom both a place of independent growth and supported education.  I hope to be employing the latest technology in my offerings for many years to come.”
