Project Outcomes

This yearlong faculty development program is designed to help 50 STEM faculty across SUNY make their courses/teaching more inclusive by using AI tools and gamification, making course content more diverse, classroom discourse more invitational, activities/assignments more collaborative, and assessment more equitable for diverse talents and applications of science.

This project pioneers a methodological framework to systematically integrate AI within course curricula and assess the impact of such AI-integration on AI literacies of students and faculty, student performance on associated assessments, and the learning and teaching experiences of student-faculty partners as they engage in pedagogical partnerships to refine and assess the AI-integration, in diverse course contexts and disciplines.

A professional development initiative to support teacher education faculty's ability to incorporate an AI-supplemented video-analysis and reflection cycle process in their field-based courses with the goal of improving teacher candidates' reflective ability and teaching performance; the development of an OER course enhancement module will facilitate replication at SUNY-wide scale.

Adapting OER Resources for teaching upper division Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology courses, with specific emphasis on construction project administration and cost estimating.

"Remote Connections: Artificial Intelligence in the North Country" is a discussion and workshop series at SUNY Potsdam that will cultivate a digitally literate and AI-informed community in Potsdam, weaving together digital literacies and current events for our local community of citizens eager to share ideas, learn, and discuss pressing issues.
