Project Outcome:

In addition to project outcomes, the website describes the functions and application of the "TeachLivE" simulations in service of teacher preparation.

Creation of a virtual environment to support access to microprocessor boards, data acquisition device or even a medical device that students need to connect to understand certain software. Students connect their hardware to computers that do not have the required software environment and still be able to remotely access the developing tools.

Project Summary:

Pilots and strengthens cross institutional adoption of e-Portfolio initiatives on participating campuses through creating a Cross-Cultural Experiential Learning Evaluation Toolkit to improve the development and assessment of international experiential learning activities

Project Outcome:

The Toolkit provides guidance to faculty to create and deliver appropriate international experiential learning activities that strengthen students’ cross-cultural skills while they are engaged in international experiences. The Toolkit also provides guidance to faculty to coach their students to document their learning artifacts and to produce effective reflection pieces to appear in their e-Portfolios. The Toolkit is expected to be piloted in COIL courses, study abroad experiences, faculty-led trips, in-class curricular efforts, and international service learning experiences.

Project Summary:

A multidisciplinary approach including Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, and Science Education that focuses on underrepresented students through our collaboration with the Women In Science and Engineering program and the Center of Science and Mathematics Education.

Project Outcome:

Short-term outcomes include new materials in the form of hardware and software, and presentations related to the projects for delivery of the courses. Long-term outcomes include better motivation of our students to be in the STEM and high technology workplace or part of academic life as faculty.
