The Lecture and Instructional Faculty Tool (LIFT) is an innovative AI-powered platform designed to support SUNY faculty in creating high-quality, accessible, and engaging instructional materials more efficiently. LIFT enables educators to upload course content -including lecture notes, slides, and OERs - and receive AI-generated outputs such as transcripts, rubrics, assessments, and multimodal learning activities. This tool addresses the increasing demands on faculty to deliver personalized instruction at scale while enhancing accessibility for students with diverse learning needs. LIFT aligns with SUNY’s 2024 Policy Agenda by advancing AI innovation to improve instructional quality, student engagement, and faculty productivity. The project includes a pilot implementation, structured training for educators, and iterative refinement based on user feedback. By integrating AI-driven content creation and inclusive design, LIFT provides a scalable and sustainable solution for instructional challenges, positioning SUNY as a leader in AI-enhanced education and supporting broader institutional goals in research, innovation, and equity.
