Overview Summary

Rockland Community College, the Haverstraw Brick Museum, and North Rockland High School will use the Museum’s archives to tell the history of Rockland County for a new generation through the brick making industry.

Project Abstract

The Building a Community Project is a collaborative effort involving faculty and students from Rockland Community College (RCC), North Rockland High School (NRHS), as well as staff at the Haverstraw Brick Museum, to create a new course on the history of Rockland County at RCC, to enhance and expand the Museum’s virtual exhibits, and to build a stronger pathway for students from high school to higher education.
