With the formal launch of Open SUNY in January, this RFP focuses on how online learning, open educational resources, e-textbooks, mobile devices, flipped classrooms, educational gaming, competency-based and experiential learning, prior learning assessment and MOOCs are transforming how education is providing access and engaging students.


2013 (Round Two) Outcomes
As a direct result of 2012 IITG efforts, partnerships both internal and external to SUNY are flourishing, providing real opportunity for discipline-based collaboration while building a foundation for future research and communities of practice. In anticipation of Open SUNY, this RFP focuses on exploration of E-textbooks, open education resources (OER), educational gaming, and tools and practices that support online teaching and learning that supports Innovative Instruction SUNY-wide.


2012 (Round One) Outcomes
The inaugural competition for funding sought to promote faculty and staff understanding of how new technologies support pedagogy. The RFP encouraged exploration of emerging and transformative issues with social media sites, Internet search engines, mobile devices, e-books, video course capture and learning management systems.
