Project Abstract | SUNY Maritime College, SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Nassau Community College, and Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Venezuela with the support of the SUNY COIL Center, are seeking funding through the SUNY Innovative Instructional Technology Grant - IITG to design and implement a set of COIL-specific standards to inform and guide COIL-related activities for instructors and coordinators with research-based best practices. These standards would be developed as an extension of OSCQR, the SUNY Online Course Quality Rubric. The grant we are proposing is a set of standards that extend OSCQR (not duplicate) with virtual exchange-specific best practices. This involves modifying existing OSCQR standards and creating a set of COIL-specific standards. The additional rubric information would include the COIL standards are unique and distinct from OSCQR and intentionally designed/updated to dovetail seamlessly to the existing SUNY OSCQR rubric. |
