Two annual programs, National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) in the fall and Open Education Week (OEW) in the spring, are opportunities for our SUNY Online Community to share and showcase the work they are doing in online teaching and learning and open education.

The Exemplar Online Courses for Observation program showcases outstanding online faculty, courses, instructional design, and campuses, nominated by SUNY campus-based online instructional designers. Tour select courses led by the instructors who designed them.
The SUNY Online Teaching OSCQR Awards recognize excellence in implementing the OSCQR online course quality rubric and process. In this session, participants will hear from the 2026 OSCQR Award winners and learn about their innovative approaches to integrating course quality into their courses, programs, research, and institutional practices.
