SUNY Online Community
The SUNY Community of Online Practitioners is a diverse and dynamic community of individuals who actively and collectively contribute to the success of online education on their campuses. SUNY Online nurtures the collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth of online practitioners by:
- Connecting people around topics of interest for learning or professional growth.
- Providing a shared platform for people to communicate and share experiences.
- Enabling dialogue between people who come together to explore new ideas, solve problems, and create new opportunities.
- Stimulating learning by serving as a vehicle for communication and mentoring.
- Showcasing knowledge and expertise to collectively capture best practices.
- Providing resources to help people advance their professional practice.

SUNY Online supports engagement among and between our various Communities of Practice through the platforms listed below. Others may be added to meet the needs of specific Communities.
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams spaces are used to connect campuses and System Administration staff around projects and initiatives such as the SUNY DLE Implementation.
Members are added by the administrator of a Team space.
Microsoft Viva Engage
Microsoft Viva Engage is a platform designed to facilitate engagement within groups. Social media tools are embedded in the platform and members can post, comment, share files, and more.
