{"id":198,"date":"2024-12-01T22:54:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T03:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sunyonlinesummit2022.edublogs.org\/?p=198"},"modified":"2025-02-26T15:46:40","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T20:46:40","slug":"networking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/summit\/networking\/","title":{"rendered":"Networking Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Summit provides opportunities for face-to-face and virtual networking, discussion, and social interaction for our online community of practice stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Our virtual and face-to-face participants are invited to join us to meet friends and colleagues, and socialize.<\/p>\n<p>Social Networking activities take place virtually and in-person throughout the event.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><em><strong>Networking with friends &amp; colleagues at the Summit is a feature and tradition!<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><em><strong>Affinity Group Networking Sessions<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0Activate Your Ideas About Innovations Inspired By Your Experiences At The Summit With Your Colleagues<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year special hour-long Affinity Group sessions have been planned to encourage Summit participants (virtual and in-person) to:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>Reflect<\/strong> and consider how you might apply anything learned from any of the presentations at the summit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Discuss<\/strong> current initiatives, issues, and challenges being faced by your institution, online organization, online faculty, or online learners.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Consider<\/strong> and <strong>share<\/strong> solutions or innovations being used or tested at your institution, within your org, or by your online faculty, or IDs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Explore<\/strong> opportunities with colleagues at the event for any types of collaborations between campuses, groups or individuals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote><p>These sessions will take place on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Day 2 at 4:45 &#8211; 5:45PM<\/li>\n<li>Day 3 at 10:15AM &#8211; 11:15PM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><em><strong>Social Networking Activities:<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p>For<strong> in-person attendees<\/strong> the morning and afternoon Breaks, Lunch &amp; Dinner are intended to provide attendees with the opportunity to network. Please let us know if you would like to be introduced to someone, or to connect with someone on a particular topic or challenge you are interested in!
