This one-day workshop focused on Middle States Standard VI: Planning, Resources, and Institutional Improvement. Particular attention was focused on Criteria 2 of the standard, which asks institutions to demonstrate “clearly documented and communicated planning and improvement process that provide for constituent participation, and incorporate the use of assessment results.” Dr. Deborah Moeckel, SUNY System Administration, discussed Middle States expectations for the standard. Featured presenters discussed their experiences with collecting assessment evidence and the tools they have used to ensure collaboration across their institutions and how it is connected to institutional planning. The program also highlighted active engagement, allowing participants to collaborate with one another and share examples of their own experiences with documenting assessment evidence.
