{"id":7901,"date":"2020-08-27T14:18:52","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T20:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/?p=7901"},"modified":"2025-07-08T15:52:28","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T19:52:28","slug":"fall2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/2020\/08\/27\/fall2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty Drop-in Service for Fall 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>New Support Service Launched<\/h3>\n<p>In response to requests identified in May 2020 via the SUNY Online Fall 2020 Campus Support Needs Survey, the Open SUNY Online Teaching unit has launched a Fall 2020 Remote Online Faculty Drop-in Support service. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with\u00a0 colleagues and faculty at Columbia-Greene Community College and SUNY FIT, who have contracted with us for these services.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Drop-in services include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u201cHow to?\u201d technical support is provided by the Open SUNY Help Desk (HD) during HD hours.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWhy to?\u201d Online Instructional Design (ID) support is provided by the SUNY Online Teaching unit via a zoom room drop-in that is staffed from 9am-12pm and 1pm-5pm on weekdays through Sept 15<sup>th<\/sup> for CGCC, and through September 22, 2020 for FIT.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To access ID services, faculty contact the Open SUNY HD (for tracking and triage).
