Ray Schroeder <\/a>emailed me on June 15 and said, ” <\/span><\/span> We are launching a MOOC<\/a> on Online Learning Today\u2026 and Tomorrow. \u00a0It is beginning to come together: \u00a0http:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/edumooc\/<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> We are hoping you will join this Elluminate (Blackboard Collaborate) session on July 14, 2:00 eastern.” I said Yes – because it was Ray, and i thought a MOOC sounds cool, never done that before.\u00a0 : ) <\/span><\/span>He also called me the “heart of SLN” and said I would be on a panel of Online Learning Tech leaders including @tektrekker<\/a> @npb_est1979<\/a> @emmcee<\/a><\/p>\n


\nJust a few of\u00a0the panelists are Cable Green <\/strong>(Creative Commons and keynote speaker for the annual November conference in Orlando), Bruce Chaloux <\/strong>(SREB \/ immediate past president of Sloan-C), Bob Hansen<\/strong> (UPCEA CEO), Karen Swan (UIS \/ Sloan-C\u00a0 Fellow and board member), George Siemens <\/strong>(Father of Connectivism and co-originator of MOOC), Curt Bonk<\/strong> (IU, author of \u201cThe World is Open\u201d and recent keynote speaker at the ALN conference), Larry Ragan<\/strong> (co-founder of the PSU\/Sloan-C Institute for Emerging Leaders in Online Learning), Karen Vignare <\/strong>(co-director of the ETO4 conference), Alexandra Pickett <\/strong>(the heart of the SUNY Learning Network), Tektrekker Bethany Bovard.<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
