Pickett<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4 Open SUNY COTE Pillars:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/online-competency-development\/\"><strong>Online Competency Development<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/online-competency-development\/spring-2016\/\"><strong>2016 COTE Professional Development<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Spring 2016 Workshop Delivery Report<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>12 participants &#8211; Intermediate OER Topics \u2013 facilitated online course.<\/li>\n<li>26 participants &#8211; (12 at FLCC and 14 at FIT) for N2OL: Designing an Online Courses &amp; Preparing to Teach Online for those New to Online Learning &#8211; a blended online &amp; f2f experience.<\/li>\n<li>10 registrations in each of the 3 Online Instructional Designer Certificate program courses. \u2013 facilitated online course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Summer 2016 (content development activities initiated, in progress)<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of course on accessibility and universal design for learning.<\/li>\n<li>Development of course on advanced uses of interactive tools<\/li>\n<li>Development of \u201ccrash course\u201d for new to online teaching and inheriting an already developed course.<\/li>\n<li>Working on a partnership with OLC to adopt the ID certificate and other competency development programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/community\/\"><strong>Community of Practice<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/opensunycotesummit2017.edublogs.org\/about\/program\/\"><strong>3rd Annual Open SUNY COTE Summit<\/strong><\/a> will be held March 8-10, 2017 in Syracuse, NY.\n<ul>\n<li>There will be a registration fee this year for everyone attending.<\/li>\n<li>We are discussing a possible partnering with OLC on the third day of the conference to offer an <a href=\"http:\/\/onlinelearningconsortium.org\/collaborate-overview\/\">OLC Collaborate event.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Open SUNY Fellows<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1,769<\/strong> Open SUNY Fellows have joined COTE a <strong>2% increase<\/strong> since last April: <a href=\"http:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/community-of-practice-across-suny\/\">http:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/community-of-practice-across-suny\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>826 &#8211; Interested in online-enabled education<\/li>\n<li>632 &#8211; Experienced online practitioner<\/li>\n<li>47 &#8211; Expert instructional designer<\/li>\n<li>48 &#8211; Exemplar, coach, and mentor<\/li>\n<li>28 &#8211; Innovator and\/or researcher<\/li>\n<li>188 &#8211; Friends of SUNY<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/cotecommunity.open.suny.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Open SUNY COTE Networking Community<\/a>\u00a0 (Please join!)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>925 members a 5% increase since April.<\/li>\n<li>43 discussion groups.<\/li>\n<li>And various discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The monthly<strong> COTE Community Call<\/strong> features updates from pillars of COTE and pedagogically-focused research presentations and campus showcases.\n<ul>\n<li>Average about 36 participants each month (calculation since April).<\/li>\n<li>A Community Call group was created to take the place of the listserv in the <a href=\"http:\/\/cotecommunity.open.suny.edu\/group\/cote-community-call\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COTE Community<\/a>. Also views are cumulative since paper was first launched.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/\">COTEhub<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Launched July 6, 2015.<\/li>\n<li>9 blog posts since April.<\/li>\n<li>2 guests posts.<\/li>\n<li>Google analytics since April: 899 site views, 609 users, 59.3% new visitors, 40.7% returning visitors (site visits and users are not unique).<\/li>\n<li>New section on research has been added to the COTEhub: <a href=\"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/research\/\">https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/research\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC_1ZW3kCFnIFsj2h7TO_5ig\/featured\"><strong>COTETV<\/strong><\/a> <strong>\u2013 Open SUNY COTE YouTube Channel \u2013 <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>32 <\/strong>Subscribers to date with 3,726 views of the channel.<\/li>\n<li>99 Videos on COTE TV (Open SUNY COTE\u2019s YouTube channel)<\/li>\n<li>16 playlists.<\/li>\n<li>Completed the production of videos collected at the OS COTE Summit in February 2016. 6 new playlists curated from the content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmc.org\">New Media Consortium<\/a><\/strong> (NMC) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmc.org\/organization\/open-suny\/\">Open SUNY COTE<\/a> <strong>membership<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>15 community members have been identified as <a href=\"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/resources\/memberships\/nmc\/nmc-c-lab\/\">Campus Leader Advisory Board members<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Two informational webinars were held for campus and C-LAB members.<\/li>\n<li>Alexandra Pickett was invited to participate as an expert panelist on the Horizon Report Higher Education Report 2017 version.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/course-supports\/\">Course Supports<\/a><\/strong><strong> &#8211; <\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/course-supports\/oscqr-rubric\/\">OSCQR &#8211; <\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/open.suny.edu\/oscqr\">http:\/\/open.suny.edu\/oscqr<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with over 40 SUNY campuses, plus dozens around the country.\n<ul>\n<li>We have supported the installation of 25+ OSCQR campus dashboards.<\/li>\n<li>400+ self-assessment rubrics have been generated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Launched a new version of the rubric. The new rubric has integrated the separate instructional design and accessibility standards into one rubric and has been made more extensible to accommodate additional standards dealing with other topics.
