She earned her doctorate (Ph.D.) in Special Education from the University at Buffalo, as an Office of Special Education Programs research\u00a0fellow. Her professional experience includes teaching special and general education higher education coursework, a professional development trainer, and a special education classroom teacher for students with a range of disabilities. Emily recently served as\u00a0a Council for Exceptional Children, Innovations in Special Education Technology Executive Board Member.
