{"id":4727,"date":"2018-06-14T17:01:37","date_gmt":"2018-06-14T23:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/?page_id=4727"},"modified":"2020-06-26T10:31:57","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T16:31:57","slug":"diane-hamilton","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/interns\/diane-hamilton\/","title":{"rendered":"SLN Intern 2012: Diane Hamilton"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_4772\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4772\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/files\/2018\/06\/DH-photo-ITLAL.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4772\" src=\"https:\/\/online.suny.edu\/onlineteaching\/files\/2018\/06\/DH-photo-ITLAL-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Diane Hamilton\" width=\"350\" height=\"350\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4772\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Diane Hamilton<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Diane Hamilton\u00a0<\/strong> was an <span class=\"s1\"> SUNY Learning Network (SLN) intern <\/span>from the Fall of 2012 through the Spring of 2013, and was then hired as an Instructional Design Associate for Open SUNY, where she consulted with faculty on course design and instructional technologies as well as developed and delivered a variety of instructional resources including tutorials, self-paced courses, webinars, and workshops for campuses across the SUNY system. In addition, Diane assisted on research projects, reviewed IITG proposals, and presented at conferences.<\/p>\n<p>Diane moved on to SUNY Albany in February 2015 where she was an Instructional Developer for <span class=\"pv-entity__secondary-title\">Faculty Technology Resources. <\/span>Diane is currently an <a href=\"http:\/\/itlal.org\/index.php?q=node\/332\">Instructional Designer for Online Teaching and Learning with ITLAL<\/a>, the <span class=\"pv-entity__secondary-title\">University at Albany<\/span> <span class=\"pv-entity__secondary-title\">Institute for Teaching, Learning, and Academic Leadership. <\/span>Her role at ITLAL is to support faculty in the design and development of effective, high-quality online courses and programs that provide educational opportunity to all learners. Her approach is founded in careful listening, collaboration, and intentionality in instructional planning.<\/p>\n<p>Diane enjoys engaging in research activities and has interests at the intersection of online instruction and social justice. In addition, Diane has experience teaching and has published a book on educational planning for students with specific special needs.
