Review Your Online Course with the OSCQR Rubric

Target Audience: Online practitioners interested in improving the instructional design of their online course.

Course Description:

The Open SUNY COTE Quality Review (OSCQR) Rubric helps online practitioners identify how the instructional design and accessibility of online and blended courses can be improved. In this workshop, online practitioners will be introduced to the OSCQR rubric, tour its features, and have the opportunity to discuss and practice applying the Rubric. Participants will then have the opportunity to use the Rubric to self assess their own online course. Participants will leave the training with an action plan that identifies and prioritizes the improvements to be made.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

•             You will apply the OSCQR rubric to your own online course.
•             You will produce an action plan for the continuous improvement of your online course.
•             You will select and prioritize improvements to be made.

Prerequisite: Must be an experienced online instructor with an online course to review. Must be able to access their online course to conduct the review/self-assessment during the workshop.
