I\u2019ve been so eager to have that experience again\u2026&nbsp; It really broadened my horizons.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/em>&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI would definitely do this again given the opportunity because this is great for people like me who kind of just stick to their circle and don&#8217;t really branch out and talk to new people, I think that\u2019s important but I don&#8217;t do it enough. Thanks to my COIL experiences, I have been able to learn new classroom activities from my international teaching partners.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em> &#8220;COIL = connecting for a purpose, virtual exchange matters&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>W<\/strong>hat is Virtual Exchange?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Technology supported people-to-people dialogues and collaboration sustained over a period of time<\/li><li>Interactive social learning<\/li><li>Facilitated by teachers and\/or trained facilitators <\/li><li>Meaningful intercultural experiences<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>COIL is a form of Virtual Exchange developed by the State University of New York (SUNY).  The main features of COIL are described under the <em>What is COIL<\/em> tab.
