Moving a File or Folder

The process to move a file (or folder) is very similar to that of ccutopying. Rather than keeping the original intact and in its current location, however, the file (or folder) is removed from the original location, placed on the clipboard, and then pasted (moved) to the new location. This results in only one file (or folder) – not duplicates as in the copy process.

The only difference between copy and move is the option that is chosen from the shortcut menu after you right-click. Rather than choosing “Copy”, you will be choosing “Cut”.

The process for pasting would be the same as that for copying.
